About

A pop(py) of color any time, any place!

A colorful spot? A very colorful spot? A super colorful spot even on a rainy day? Yes, that’s me, Pirjo. This is how it happened…

Once upon a time (nope, it wasn’t during the ice age, just in the last century) there was a super active and energetic granny who lived on top of the apple trees with her five grandkids. Besides climbing the trees in her big garden, hiking and baking loads of yummy pancakes, she loved holding knitting needles and crochet hooks as well. And she was excellent at it. Despite her never ending fuel and energy, the granny was able to sit still and do the handicrafts for hours and hours. The youngest of her grandkids, a small girl, was very similar to her – very active, busy and always trying new things. One skill amongst many others, which the girl picked up, was crocheting. Loving to crochet came later, many years later.

My best crochet buddy ever. She’s my right hand, or should I say hook?

Guess what?! That girl was me. For many years I crocheted for myself, mainly clothes but also curtains and tablecloths. Now I’m a mom of two toddlers and it seems my daughter never has enough beautiful dresses (but which girl has enough dresses after all? I don’t know any…). So, here I am with my crocheted dresses and other clothes made of certified organic yarns.

Organic yarn doesn’t always have to be white. It can be very colorful.

Mango Musi?! What is that? My son’s favorite fruit is mango, he eats one (or two when it’s the high season and they’re very juicy and sweet) every day. My daughter loves giving kisses (that comes from her Spanish-side of the family), and I’m her favorite kiss-mate. A kiss in Estonian, which is my native language, is “musi” therefore naming my brand was pretty simple – Mango Musi.

Cute headband, pretty girl and beautiful almond tree blossoms make up a perfect spring day.
